im admitting it now. ive been a freak about following the whole sniper thing. partly because i have family in that area. and. while we're being honest here. more than partly because i can get like that with news things. all obsessed-like. you know.

so i stayed up last night until 2am. flipping viciously between msnbc, cnn and felicity reruns.

and. im sorry. but did anyone else hear the mayor of montgomery alabama refer to the dc area as 'new england'? am i the only one who heard that? during the press conference given in montgomery sometime last night, it went something like this: "im just as concerned as everyone else about whats been going on up there in new england" um okay. nothings going on here in new england. but hey. thanks for the concern. and lets get back to the task at hand now shall we?

i can excuse that. now and then. when people might refer to upstate new york as new england. or something. but maryland? and virginia? thats not even the northeast for christs sake.

that, mr mayor, is the part of the country that we call the mid-atlantic states.

looks like someone needs to crack open the old third grade geography textbook.
