2002-02-01 @ 11:54 p.m. its time again for the friday five 1. Have you ever had braces? Any other teeth trauma? i had braces for three years in high school. they didnt fix my teeth. my jaw got knocked all out of whack when i broke it in second grade. my jawline is still pretty messed up. 2. Ever broken any bones? oh so many...i shattered my jaw, broke my arm, my foot, etc. i was (?) an extremely clumsy child (still am really) 3. Ever had stitches? see above. last stitches i had was a few summers ago. i fell off a sidewalk and gouged my knee open on the dirt/gravel street i fell on. you can still see/feel little pieces of gravel imbedded in my kneecap. 4. What are the stories behind some of your [physical] scars? i really was quite the regular at the local hospital when i was young. i have one on my scalp from when i was a toddler, i was riding my bike in the park and someone hit me. i fell on my head and i was wearing one of those plastic spike-y teeth barrettes, the barrette teeth stuck right into my head. i had to go to the hospital and have it taken out there. i have one just under my jawbone, thats somewhat obvious really, from when i was (again) a toddler. i was with my mother in our attic and tripped, and when i fell i landed on the corner of something sharp. the place i hit was so close to my jugular vein (i think thats what it was) that i almost died from the amount of bloodloss. doctors said if i had hit something like a centimeter more in one direction, i surely would have died by the time i got to the hospital. i was 3, maybe 4. i have a circular scar the size of a nickel on the inside of my left elbow, from when i was burned. i also have matching scars on my kneecaps, which is wierd. the one on my right knee i just always remember having, dont remember how it got there and the one on the left is from the aforementioned gravel-in-the-knee incident. and a small one on my wrist, self-inflicted many years ago. hmm. thats all i can think of. 5. How do you plan to spend your weekend? big weekend...bay state games (the massachusetts version of the 'winter olympics' really) are saturday and sunday. busy work weekend. saturday night go to a show. sunday probably go to my friend scotts to watch the superbowl with friends. |
